Celebrate Heritage at the 48th Annual Calle Ocho Music Festival

Miami’s most iconic street party returns today to the heart of Little Havana. Spanning 15 blocks along Southwest 8th Street, from 12th to 27th Avenue, the Calle Ocho Music Festival is the crowning event of Carnaval Miami. Expect a massive celebration of Pan-American culture with multiple musical stages, folkloric dance performances, and hundreds of food vendors serving authentic Latin cuisine. This year, artist Guaynaa has been crowned the King of Carnaval, bringing high energy to the main stage. The event runs from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. and is free to the public, offering a family-friendly atmosphere that showcases the best of Miami’s Hispanic roots.

  • Lincoln Road Farmers Market: A Miami Beach staple, this market operates from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. along the pedestrian promenade between Washington and Meridian Avenues.

Theater, Arts, and Exhibitions

Cultural enthusiasts have several high-profile options this afternoon and evening. The Ziff Opera House at the Adrienne Arsht Center presents Shen Yun 2026: China Before Communism, a world-class production of classical Chinese dance and orchestral music. For contemporary dance fans, the Aventura Arts & Cultural Center is hosting Dance NOW! Miami for their Program II: Bridges NOT Walls, with a performance scheduled for 7:00 p.m.

Art lovers should also head to North Miami, where Bridge Red Studios debuts a new exhibition today titled "Streams of Consciousness." This show features thirty years of work by multidisciplinary artist Pablo Cano, including his unique marionette designs and theatrical backdrops.

Fair and Garden Festivals

Today marks the final day of the Orchids in Bloom Festival at Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden. From 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., visitors can explore thousands of rare orchids, participate in workshops, and enjoy guided garden tours.
