North Miami road rage shooting leads to arrest as police detail gunfire, crash, and recovered handgun

Arrest follows late-morning shooting reported on Northeast 125th Street
A North Miami man was arrested after a reported road rage confrontation escalated into gunfire and a vehicle crash, based on details outlined in a North Miami Police Department arrest report and subsequent court proceedings.
The shooting was reported at about 11:30 a.m. in the area of Northeast 125th Street and 10th Avenue. Investigators identified the suspect as Alex Felizor, 39, of North Miami.
Police allege lane dispute, shots fired, and damage to the victim’s vehicle
Police allege the incident began with a driving conflict in which Felizor forced the other driver out of a lane and into oncoming traffic. As the victim attempted to re-enter the lane, police say Felizor fired several rounds toward the victim’s vehicle.
Investigators documented multiple signs of gunfire impact. The victim’s vehicle was reported to have three bullet holes on the passenger side, along with a ricochet indentation on the passenger-side rear upper panel. Police also noted that one round exited through Felizor’s own front windshield, a detail included in the arrest documentation.
Handgun and spent casing reported recovered during the investigation
During the response and investigation, police reported finding a black handgun in Felizor’s front right pocket. A spent casing was also reported recovered from the driver’s seat area, according to the arrest report’s inventory of evidence and observations at the scene.
Video evidence and aftermath: suspect crash and post-shooting encounter
Police said the victim provided cellphone video showing Felizor approaching him shortly after the shooting. The arrest report also states that Felizor crashed his vehicle during the course of events.
Location reported: Northeast 125th Street and 10th Avenue, North Miami
Time reported: about 11:30 a.m.

Court appearance and custody status
In a court appearance conducted via Zoom, the victim, speaking through a translator, described fear following the gunfire and said the incident affected his sense of safety while working.
“When I saw that there were shots, I called 911 and explained to them that someone was shooting at me,” the translator said on behalf of the victim. “I’m really scared to keep working.”
Police said Felizor invoked his rights when questioned about the shooting. He was arrested on a charge of shooting a deadly missile and, as of Tuesday morning (February 10, 2026), was being held at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center with bond listed as “to be set.”
