The Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office is currently conducting a county-wide Pedestrian and Bicycle Safety Campaign. This public service initiative is designed to reduce traffic-related incidents during the peak winter tourist season. Law enforcement officers are focusing on high-traffic corridors to enforce crosswalk compliance and the Distracted Driving Safety Program. Drivers are urged to remain alert for increased pedestrian activity in the downtown and coastal districts.
