The City of Miami has officially reopened the Senior Rental Assistance Program (SRAP) for new applications as of Monday, January 26, 2026. This service remains active through Friday, February 20, 2026. The program is designed to provide financial relief to low-income renters aged 62 and older who are facing annual rent increases. Eligible households must reside within city limits and have an income at or below 50 percent of the Area Median Income (AMI).
Approved participants may receive up to $500 per month toward their rent for a duration of one year, with payments made directly to landlords. To qualify, applicants must spend more than 30 percent of their monthly income on rent. Paper applications are available at Miami City Hall, located at 3500 Pan American Drive, and various District Offices between 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. applicants must provide a valid Florida ID, proof of household income, and a current executed lease agreement.
