Official City Notice: Miami City Commission Meeting

Notice is hereby given that a regularly scheduled meeting of the Miami City Commission will be held on Thursday, February 26, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. at Miami City Hall, located at 3500 Pan American Drive. The commission will consider several legislative items, including a resolution to accept the plat entitled “Oak Row 2900,” a replat located along the east side of NE 4th Avenue between NE 29th Street and NE 29th Terrace. Residents are invited to provide public comment in person or via the city’s online comment form. Mobile Services: Driver License Renewal Event

The Miami-Dade County Tax Collector, in coordination with the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles, is hosting a TConnect mobile office event today, Friday, February 20, 2026. The mobile unit will be stationed at the Father Gerard Jean-Juste Community Center at Oak Grove Park (690 NE 159th St.) from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. This event is specifically designed to assist residents, including Haitian Temporary Protected Status (TPS) recipients, with driver license renewals and credentialing updates following new state guidance. Services are provided on a first-come, first-served basis.

Zoning and Planning: Intended Decisions on Display

The City of Miami has issued several Intended Decisions regarding property development and land use. The following notices are currently on official display and available for public review until Friday, February 27, 2026:

  • 430 SW 69th Avenue: Application Number BD26-002088-001.
  • 4051 Park Avenue: Application Number BD25-017153-001.
  • 1744 NW 15th Street: Application Number BD25-008548-001.
  • 2911 SW 16th Terrace: Application Number BD23-010903-001.

Any person wishing to appeal these decisions must do so by the February 27 deadline. Documentation is available for inspection at the Resilience and Public Works Department.

Traffic and Safety Advisory: Reconstruction and Spring Break Posture

Motorists are advised of ongoing lane closures associated with the I-395 Reconstruction Project and SR A1A/Indian Creek Drive improvements. Specific closures affecting access to and from Miami Beach remain active through today, February 20. Additionally, the City of Miami Beach has announced enhanced safety measures for the upcoming spring break season. Residents and visitors should expect an increased police presence, DUI checkpoints, and strict enforcement of open container laws throughout the entertainment district beginning this week to ensure a safe environment for the community.
